A comic I'm making about my favorite OCs who I've been throwing around together since 2018.
I've compiled a collection of art I've made of them through the years and general information. A lot of the art is NSFW and will be externally linked.
There may be minor comic spoilers, but most of what's been written here is either already established in the opening or will be established soon.Currently it can only be read on my Patreon as I'm building a 100 page buffer before I post it publicly.
The story has gone through a good 4 different iterations since 2018 and there's a lot of conflicting information and designs of them out there, including several pages from 2 different types of comic openings I tried out on my Patreon.
Gwen
One of the central protagonists, she is a wood elf who is a giant nerd and is physically lazy but mentally sharp in both intellect and social graces.
She was born with a somewhat uncommon ability to tap into a necromantic magic source that is leaked by a self made god in her realm.
People born with this connection are generally inducted as paladins into a monastery where they are trained to better control the magic and dedicate their lives to protecting people from it's rogue effects.
Because Gwen was born into royalty, she was shielded from this duty and irresponsibly chose to not pursue it.
Obviously, now she has to pursue it.

Aleksei
The other central protagonist, Aleksei is one of the many sons
(called Nekyia) of the self made god (who's name is Ludyc) that is ruining everything around them.
His family line is descendent from elven shifters, so all of the Nekyia are werewolves, but they're messed up werewolves because of the whole "dad made himself into a god several thousand years ago some fucking how" element.
He is unable to stay dead, whether he wants to or not. He ages normally, can retain injuries and scars and can die from anything that will kill a normal person, but he's always reset back to where he was the first time he died whenever he passes on.
He abused the shit out of this for a long time. And then grew tired of it. And has now just kinda accepted it as an inescapable, unnatural force of nature.
Now he has decided he might as well use this ability to help people to atone for the amount of time he spent not helping people.

I swapped out the horns for ears because a) it was hard to make the horns look good and b) to move away from Ancient Magus Bride

Gwen needed the assistance of a Nekyia to accompany her in dealing with Ludycian shards, so she hunted down Aleksei to try to hire him, because he was fairly easy to find due to both his infamy and his more recent habit of wandering around and helping people. She's very pretty, so he was (mostly) easy to hire.
Because I am a massive romance nerd, obviously a significant portion of the story revolves around them figuring out how to bang each other and most of the art I've done of them is just that.
Due to a novel coming out in 2022 that had a cover with figures that looked overly similar to them (by accident, we were inspired by the same sources) I changed Aleksei's monster design to distinguish the two.

I dropped the characters for a couple years and repurposed their designs for a Hades and Persephone script which eventually became Pomegranate.

Ludyc
Aleksei's dad. So old he's lost his grip on reality and time and humanity and morality and he's accidentally ruining the world. He means well for the most part even if he used to be extremely evil
Kalan
Gwen's sister's husband. He's a nice guy but he's also kinda stupid and flighty. He likes to gather gossip and screws anything that moves and he has a big ol soft spot for messy people.
Leah
Aleksei's daughter. She's loud and likes to get into fist fights but is extremely loyal and sweet. She is also a werewolf but she is not a Nekyia. She has massive daddy issues.
Faustus
Aleksei's youngest brother. He is a good 150 years behind Aleksei in emotional maturity and is not a good person. He's aware of this and is weirdly insecure about it given how much he doesn't try to be better.
